The 3rd Worcester Scout Hut has been in its current location for over 100 years, although what you see now isn't the original wooden building which was in place way back in the beginning. Historically, the Scout Hut has been used for Scouting activities, but over the years it has developed into a building which can be used by all of the community. There are several user groups who regularly use the facilities, and a thriving Playgroup operates here during term times.
The Scout Hut is looked after by an Excutive Committee, or management team who take care of the day to day business of looking after the facilities. The management team has a new vision to bring the Scout Hut firmly back into the community, and allow others to make full use of the facilities at realistic prices. Support from the community is vital to us, without external support the Hut would not be able to stay open as operating costs spiral. The additional support from the community both financial and in kind, is invested in the building and allows us to maintain and improve the facilities on offer.
