Project 2 - Octogonal 40-80m Magnetic Loop Antenna

This is the WRAA project number 2 details. This Octogonal loop was chosen instead of the square loop also shown on this site. Steve 2E0SBE has supplied all of the details and images for others to mull over. Steve is QRV most evenings running his Octagonal loop on 80 meters.

Project No1: Quadrifilar Helix Anatenna This antenna may look complicated, but it really is quite simple to build. This antenna is used in a variety of applications, but in our case it is being built for Weather Satellite reception (APT 137Mhz)

Steve 2E0SBE, WRAA's resident antenna builder has produced an extremely nice Mag Loop antenna capable of covering 80, 40 and 30m Bands. This is going to be the clubs next group project.
